1) CANSail Fundamental Course

This course is a NCCP required prerequisite to any CANSail Technical Clinic and certification process. Candidates must have Standard 2 Day First Aid from an accredited organization (Red Cross, Heart and Stroke, St. John's Ambulance, or equivalent) before registering for this course. Candidates are also required to show proof of a CANSail Level 4 upon entry. Minimum age requirement is 16, and candidates younger than 16 must request permission to register. Course Location: Sport for Life Centre, 145 Pacific Ave, Winnipeg. Course times: 9am-6pm

2) Coach Boat Safety (CBS)

On water and theory based safety course. Prerequisite to any CANSail Technical Clinic. Requirement for full certification and insurance to operate power equipment in a CANSail lesson environment. Minimum age requirement is 16, and candidates younger than 16 must request permission to register. Course location: Fort Whyte Alive, 1961 McCreary Road, Winnipeg. Course times: 9am-6pm

3) CANSail 1+2 Technical Clinic

Candidates must complete the CANSail Fundamental Course prior to this Clinic. On-water and dry-land coaching sessions focus on improving delivery of course content, on-water feedback, class control, and safety demonstrations at the beginner level. Instructors who successfully complete this course will be qualified to teach beginner participants at the CANSail 1 & 2 level, and have access to valuable CANSail Instructor Tools. Minimum age for this clinic is 16 years of age. Course location: Fort Whyte Alive, 1961 McCreary Road, Winnipeg. Course times: 9am-6pm

4) CANSail 3+4 Technical Clinic

5) Evaluations

For instructors transitioning from trained status to certified within the CANSail Instructor pathway. Evaluations for CANSail 1, 2, 3, and 4 offered depending on the instructors certification level. Contact Sail Manitoba for information on evaluation expectations, certification requirements, or to schedule an evaluation at your home sailing club. Course times: 9am-6pm Please note: Instructors taking the clinic for the first time should not register for an evaluation.

6) Pelican Yacht Club Training Camp/Big Bird Dinghy Regatta

Development Camp for Provincial Race Team members and Pelican Yacht Club CANSail participants interested in racing. Meet at the Learn to Sail area daily. Regatta entry fee, meals, coaching, and transportation are covered under the fee. Time: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm daily.

7) Falcon Yacht Club Training Camp

Development Camp for Provincial Race Team members and Falcon Yacht Club CANSail participants and club members interested in racing. Meet at the Lower clubhouse daily. Meals, coaching, and transportation are covered under the fee. For those who require accommodation, arrangements will be made through Sail Manitoba. Time: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm daily

8) Laser District 4 Championships/Summer of Sailing Regatta

Registration Saturday July 20, 2019 at 9 am. First race at 11 am. Registration includes Regatta fee and Saturday evening BBQ at the Falcon YC. Lunches not included. Note: Must have club/Sail Manitoba membership. For District 4's, only those with an ILCA (International Laser Class Association) membership will be scored in the District 4 Championships.
